Overview

Maintain a clean and orderly facility, presentable for all services and building uses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the facility is maintained and orderly.  Responsibilities extend to all buildings on Church campus Cleaning responsibilities include both scheduled routine and deep cleaning as necessary i.e. spot carpet cleaning, clean up spills on uhpolstry/carpet, etc.

• Each building will be cleaned weekly:

• Sanctuary

• Youth

• Office

• Kids

• Family Life

• Routine cleaning includes but is not limited to the following:

• All carpet and rugs will be vacuumed weekly and as needed.

• All hard surface floors will be mopped weekly and as needed.

• All tables, counters, desk, etc will be dusted weekly.

• Cob webs will be identified and eliminated weekly and as needed.

• All bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected weekly and as needed.  Bathroom cleaning will include but is not limited to counter tops, faucets/fixtures, mirrors, toilet/urinal bowls, toilets/urinal exterior and base, stall dividers, trash receptacles.

• Trash/garbage removed during cleaning activities will be placed in on site dumpster.

• Maintain adequate inventories of supply to ensure there is no interruption in cleaning activities.

• Replace paper products/air fresheners/can liners as necessary during routine cleaning.

• All trash from exterior trash receptacles should be removed weekly or as needed and placed in the onsite dumpster.

• Perform emergency cleaning as necessary.

• Maintain Gym floor maintenance and upkeep. Gym floor will be swept and mopped weekly. Additional cleaning may be necessary following church sponsored events.

• Attend and actively participate in called staff meeting ensuring a clear understanding of services, events, funerals, luncheons, etc., in order ensure the facilities are clean and ready.

• Alter schedule accordingly to ensure special events are managed (i.e. VBS, basketball camp, Youth Aflame Conference, etc.)   Responsibilities will have to be altered to ensure the focused event is a priority.

• After hours cleaning is required following weddings and funerals to ensure the facilities are ready for church services.

• Any maintenance need identified will be forwarded to the designated maintenance/Building and Ground person to ensure coordinated timely repairs.

• Open and ready facilities as needed for home school, funerals, meeting, etc.

Compensation

• Hourly wages are based on performance, contribution and longevity.

• Full-time Employees are eligible for vacation with pay after one year of service.

• The following are paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed. - Friday), Christmas Week (days to be determined based on service considerations), New Year’s Eve.
